1. What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible gaming is the practice of approaching gambling as a form of entertainment rather than a source of income or a way to solve financial problems. For the vast majority of players, online casino games and sports betting — including cricket markets and slots on bdta1 — provide genuine fun and excitement within a modest, budgeted spend. The problems arise when gambling shifts from a recreational activity to a compulsive behaviour that interferes with daily life, relationships, and financial wellbeing.
bdta1 takes its responsibility to players in Bangladesh seriously. We believe that a sustainable, well-run gaming platform depends on players enjoying themselves safely over the long term — not on squeezing short-term revenue from players who are struggling. Our responsible gaming framework is designed to give every player the awareness, tools, and support they need to keep gambling in its proper place.
2. Age Restriction & Underage Policy
bdta1 operates a strict 18+ age policy. No person under the age of 18 years is permitted to register an account, make a deposit, or participate in any real-money gaming activity on the platform. This applies across all game categories — live casino tables, cricket betting, slots, fishing games, and all other content accessible via bdta1.
2.1 Age Verification Process
At registration, all players confirm they are 18 or older. Before any withdrawal is processed, bdta1 requires identity verification (KYC) that includes a government-issued National Identity Card (NID) or passport confirming date of birth. Accounts that cannot confirm legal age are suspended and any deposits are returned.
2.2 Protecting Young People at Home
If you share a device or household with people under 18, we strongly encourage you to:
- Log out of your bdta1 account when not in active use.
- Never save your login credentials in a shared browser.
- Install parental control software (such as Net Nanny, Bark, or your device's built-in screen-time controls) to block access to gambling sites.
- Keep your deposit method PINs and passwords strictly private.
3. Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Recognising the early warning signs — in yourself or someone close to you — is the most important step toward getting help before the situation becomes serious. The following patterns are commonly associated with problematic gambling behaviour:
- Spending more money or time gambling than you originally planned or can afford.
- Chasing losses — continuing to play in an attempt to recover money that has already been lost.
- Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not able to gamble.
- Lying to family members, friends, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend gambling.
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling activity.
- Neglecting work, study, family responsibilities, or social life because of gambling.
- Gambling as a way to escape stress, depression, loneliness, or boredom rather than for entertainment.
- Failed attempts to cut back or stop gambling despite wanting to.
- Continuing to gamble even when it creates financial, legal, or relationship problems.
Experiencing one or two of the above signs occasionally does not necessarily indicate a disorder, but a persistent pattern across several of these areas is a strong signal that it is time to seek help and use the protection tools available on bdta1.
4. Self-Assessment Checklist
The following questions are adapted from internationally recognised problem gambling screening tools. Answer honestly — this checklist is for your benefit only and is not stored or submitted anywhere.
5. Player Protection Tools
Every bdta1 account holder has access to a suite of responsible gaming controls from within their Account Settings panel. These tools are free to use, take effect promptly, and can be configured without contacting support — although our team is always available to assist. Here is how to access and use each tool:
5.1 Setting a Deposit Limit
Log in to your bdta1 account
Access your account via the bdta1 Login page and navigate to Account Settings.
Open the Responsible Gaming tab
Select "Responsible Gaming" from the settings menu to view all available controls.
Set your limit in BDT
Choose a daily, weekly, or monthly cap. Enter the maximum BDT amount you wish to be able to deposit within that period. Confirm the change — it applies immediately.
Requesting a limit increase
Any request to increase a deposit limit is subject to a mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period before it takes effect. Decreasing a limit, however, is instant.
5.2 Activating a Time-Out
A time-out is a short-term voluntary break from the platform — suitable if you feel you need a brief pause rather than a full self-exclusion. Time-out periods available on bdta1 are: 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, and up to 6 weeks. During a time-out, your account remains open but you cannot log in, place bets, or make deposits. Promotional communications are suspended automatically.
5.3 Session Time Reminders
Under Account Settings → Responsible Gaming, you can enable on-screen pop-up reminders that appear after a set duration of continuous play (30, 60, or 90 minutes). The reminder displays your current session duration and your net win/loss position, prompting you to decide consciously whether to continue or stop.
5.4 Loss Limits
Loss limits work similarly to deposit limits but track actual losses rather than deposit volume. Once your configured loss threshold for a period is reached, bdta1 will halt your gaming session and display a notification. You can set loss limits in BDT on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis from the same Responsible Gaming panel.
6. Self-Exclusion Programme
Self-exclusion is the most comprehensive player protection tool available on bdta1. It is designed for players who feel that they have lost control of their gambling and need a firm, enforced break from the platform. Unlike a time-out, self-exclusion is not easily reversed and carries a mandatory lock-in period.
Available self-exclusion periods on bdta1:
- 1 Month — Minimum short-term exclusion
- 3 Months — Recommended for players experiencing early signs of problem gambling
- 6 Months
- 1 Year
- Permanent (Lifetime) — Irrevocable closure; account cannot be reopened under any circumstances
During any self-exclusion period, your bdta1 account is fully blocked. You will not be able to log in, deposit, withdraw (pending withdrawals are processed normally), or receive any promotional or marketing communications from bdta1. Our system also flags your account to prevent accidental re-registration using the same identity details.
To lift a self-exclusion before its end date, players must contact support in writing and observe a mandatory 7-day waiting period before reinstatement. Permanent exclusions cannot be lifted under any circumstances. bdta1 reserves the right to deny reinstatement requests at its sole discretion where it believes the player's gaming behaviour continues to pose a risk to their wellbeing.
7. Support Resources & Help Lines
bdta1 encourages any player who believes gambling may be becoming a problem to seek professional support. The following resources are available to players in Bangladesh and internationally:
- Gamblers Anonymous Bangladesh: A peer-support fellowship following the internationally recognised 12-step recovery model. Local meetings are held in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Information is available via the global Gamblers Anonymous network.
- National Mental Health Helpline (Bangladesh): Kaan Pete Roi — a Bangladeshi emotional support and mental health helpline staffed by trained volunteers. Available for individuals experiencing gambling-related stress, anxiety, and family strain.
- BeGambleAware (International): An internationally recognised gambling support charity offering free, confidential advice, information, and referrals to treatment services. Available online 24/7 in English.
- GamCare (International): Provides free information, support, and counselling for anyone affected by problem gambling. Offers a 24-hour helpline and online chat service with trained counsellors.
- Gambling Therapy (International): A global online support service offering practical advice and support to problem gamblers and their families, available in multiple languages.
None of the above organisations charge for their initial consultation services. We encourage players to reach out to any of these resources without hesitation — seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
8. Contacting bdta1 Support
